Luis and Begoña and their son Erik, the owners of hotel Etxegana, are the people in charge of maintaining the best ambience at this hotel. Since the very first minute, as you arrive to the hotel, they are waiting for you with their biggest smile and they welcome you as if you where a member of their family, the great family of hotel Etxegana.

The hotel Etxegana is located in the surrounding area of the Gorbeia Natural Park, one of the most beautiful places of Biscay and declared Biosphere Reserve for its ecologic resources by the UNESCO organization. At this place, silence and tranquility are the main attributes that have given the hotel the credentials of “relais du silence”. The detailed attention and the attentive treatment to the client are the characteristics that have granted them the touristic quality Q.

The building is a new construction but it still resembles the Basque traditional caserío (Basque typical house). The stone and wood materials used for its construction give the building a natural elegance. It has 13 distinctive and spacious bedrooms. They are decorated as in the Colonial, Victorian or French Provencal times. They also have furniture and objects with unknown origin that somehow give a unique character to each bedroom and also captures the guests’ attention.
